Our special thanks to the Rainbows who brought us joy, smiles and laughter, when they took a special part in the celebration of Mass.

They carried the Rainbow Banner to the sanctuary and placed it in front of the Baptismal Fount to symbolise the new life of creation

which came after the flood and the new life we receive in Baptism. Then they blew bubbles towards the congregation symbolising the combination of water, God's gift of oxygen, and our breath in bringing the beauty of God's message to the world.

The painting of our church with a rainbow, which the Rainbows painted for the Parish Centre Lounge, was hanging from the pulpit. The blowing of bubbles outside the doors was a last minute inspiration. Looking at the smiling faces in the congregation and the hearing the laughter demonstrated that all enjoyed the celebration. Some said that all 517 will see bubbles in a different light for the rest of their lives - especially the children.
