Jesus walked by their side but something prevented them from recognising him. 

                   'What were you discussing as you walked along?'       

                          Jesus explained the scriptures to them.

                  They recognised him at the Breaking of Bread.

                  They hurried back to Jerusalem.

'What matters were you discussing as you walked along?'

'The woman saw the empty tomb and an angel who told them Jesus was alive.'

'Our friends went to the tomb, but didn't see any sign of Jesus.'

Jesus blessed the bread, broke it and handed it to them.
