‘If you are bringing your offering to the altar

and remember that you are having a row with your brother or sister,

leave your offering at the altar; go and be reconciled,

then come back to present your offering.

If anyone hits you on the right cheek, offer him the other as well.

If anyone takes you to law and would have your tunic, let him have your cloak.

If anyone orders you to go one mile with him, go two miles with him.

Give to anyone who asks; and if anyone wants to borrow, do not turn away.

If you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional? Even the pagans do that.

I say to you - love your enemies  and pray for those who hurt you.' Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.’
